10 mm or 12 mm?
10 mm toughened glass suits fixed partitions and low traffic cabins. 12 mm is what we use wherever there is a door, because the extra thickness carries patch fittings and floor springs without flexing over time. If a supplier quotes 8 mm for a door, walk away.
Why we measure last
Glass is measured after the false ceiling is finished, never before. A ceiling changes the working height by an inch or more, and glass cut to the old dimension is glass that has to be cut again. This is the reason our doors still close properly a year later.
